Addison Heights has a new Activities Director who would like to add to the team!

• Flexible Hours; every other weekend and occasional evenings. 30-40 hours available *Some holidays***
• Lead scheduled resident activities as well as assist with assessments and activity profiles.
• Daily charting in activity log, activity specific log, and 1:1 binder.
• Update logs and binders according to monthly change overs.
• Complete the PELI, preference sheet, and other new admit paperwork/assessments upon admission of new residents.
• File paper work as instructed by supervisor in resident charts.
• Facilitate daily programs such as games, crafts, religious services, outings, discussions, and more with a goal of a therapeutic purpose.
• Assist director in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
• Encourage and engage with residents to participate in all recreational and social activities.
• Assist with driving outing bus, smoke break, communication, and setting up for activity programs in facility on a daily basis.
• Act in compliance with all corporate, state, federal, and other regulatory standards.
• Attend meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
• Assist Director of Therapeutic Recreation Services in expanding services.
• May assist with Customer Care Liaison duties as needed.

• Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interactions with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Outgoing, creative, and assertive when needed.
• Comfortable transporting residents for scheduled outings.
• Punctual in arriving for work, meetings, and other scheduled events.
• Experience in long-term care setting or a related health care field.
